CHICAGO‚ÄîThe ZEEQ Smart Pillow From REM-Fit earned a silver award in International Design Awards' 2017 product design competition, as well as a second prize in the competition' Home Interior Products section. The awards honor professional and emerging designers for their achievements in design, creativity, usability and innovation. The 10-year-old competition included categories from interiors, fashion, products and graphics, and this year saw more than 1,000 entries from 52 countries. The ZEEQ smart pillow streams music and analyzes sleep patterns through an app and even helps stop snoring with its Snore Alarm. Developed by an in-house product development team, ZEEQ launched on Kickstarter July 2016. The project was funded in just 16 hours, and reached 800 percent of its initial goal by the end of the campaign; 2,087 backers pledged a total of $400,787. After delivering on the campaign by Christmas of 2016, the team brought ZEEQ to the Consumer Electronics Show, where it earned a CES Innovation honor.
